This coffee table is our take on the classic farm style table with a twist. With the recent rise in popularity of rustic furniture, we decided to develop our own take on custom distressed wood. This top is made to look almost nautically distressed with shades of blue, grey and splashes of white. Almost as if the wood was previously part of an old fishing boat or maritime building. We are blessed to have such a talented artist like Shawna who hand paints each top and stains the base in classic grey for this unique distressed and weathered look. The bottom shelf is a great place to store blankets or magazines and books and completes the look. The table top is sealed with several coats of Polyurethane which protects the wood from day to day wear and makes cleaning a breeze.
Description
We built this coffee table for our busy living room. With the recent popularity of rustic tables and farmhouse furniture, this piece shares our love of wood and craftsmanship with your home from ours.
This table is 18″ tall, 24 1/2″ wide and 4 feet long. Our table was stained using the distressed blue and white top and grey base but we also offer many other stain colors of your choice which we then seal with polyurethane to a satin finish which allows for easy cleanup with a damp cloth.
All our products are built using Knotty Alder which we sand and polish to an almost translucent sheen. As with any wood, your new table can chip if roughly handled and some minor warping may occur when changing humidity. For example; Bringing the table into your home after leaving it outdoors in the weather. We use screws and wood glue to secure our products.
